Everyone who grew up in rural Indiana in the 20th century, you had a basketball goal in or on your barn. We all played 'Hoops', even if we weren't on the high school teams. This painting is of a barn with a hoop. The door is open so the players didn't run into it while playing.
My process includes creating an acrylic wash to inspire the background, followed by a digital painting done using many transparent layers. I adjust the order and transparency of the layers until I get just the effect that I want and freeze it into a file for printing.
Each print is made after you place your order, using archival inks on archival water color paper with a white border displaying the quality paper.
