Eight Hundred miles from the nearest ocean is the Evanston Lighthouse on Lake Michigan. Lighthouses have been around for centuries. They have a unique architecture, making an inland lighthouse in an urban area one of he most interesting buildings in the Chicagoland area.
My process includes creating an acrylic wash to inspire the background, followed by a digital painting done using many transparent layers. I adjust the order and transparency of the layers until I get just the effect that I want and freeze it into a file for printing.
Each print is made after you place your order, using archival inks on archival water color paper with a white border displaying the quality paper.
