Earlier this year I bought an inexpensive drone. I've always loved the perspective of flight. I love airplanes and I love flying. In late November I took my Drone to the gallery in Noblesville (the Birdie Gallery) where I exhibit my work. I took the drone to a height of about 200 feet above the gallery. This is the result - a unique perspective - to high to be from a hilltop or building, but too low to view from an airplane. This is my first from this perspective. There will be more as I learn to fly this thing!
My process includes creating an acrylic wash to inspire the background, followed by a digital painting done using many transparent layers. I adjust the order and transparency of the layers until I get just the effect that I want and freeze it into a file for printing.
Each print is made after you place your order, using archival inks on archival water color paper with a white border displaying the quality paper.
