A memory from a vanishing time and place. This is the main street of the town where I grew up as a child, but represents many small towns. I've painted it as it might have appeared shortly after the end of World War II.
My process includes creating an acrylic wash to inspire the background, followed by a digital painting done using many transparent layers. I adjust the order and transparency of the layers until I get just the effect that I want and freeze it into a file for printing.
Each print is made after you place your order, using archival inks on archival water color paper with a white border displaying the quality paper.
