In 1967, the Doors broke onto the music scene. To celebrate their first Gold Record, their producer gave Jim Morrison a new 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500. Morrison named it the "Blue Lady". After Jim passed away in France, the Blue Lady disappeared. This painting commemorates the Blue Lady and the music of the Doors.
My process includes creating an acrylic wash to inspire the background, followed by a digital painting done using many transparent layers. I adjust the order and transparency of the layers until I get just the effect that I want and freeze it into a file for printing.
Each print is made after you place your order, using archival inks on archival water color paper with a white border displaying the quality paper.
